Questions about your ceremony

Help with vows, partners and chosen family, photography, witnesses, and the details of booking your ceremony.

Your ceremony

What kinds of ceremonies do you officiate?

We specialize in mobile, customized queer ceremonies, including commitments between several partners. We officiate weddings, commitment ceremonies, handfastings, vow renewals, and multi-person ceremonies, as well as namings and anniversaries. You’re welcome to book with us whether or not you’re queer. We help with the words and lead the ceremony.

How can a ceremony reflect our relationship?

Tell us what matters between you and what you want to say to each other. We’ll use the names and relationship terms you choose and help bring your vows, readings, rings, handfasting, or shared responses together.

How do you introduce the people in the ceremony?

We’ll use your names and relationship terms, with care for pronunciation. Tell us who you want recognized in the welcome, including chosen family and anyone taking part in the ceremony.

How does a multi-person ceremony work?

Some promises may be to the group and others between particular partners. You can include both. We’ll help connect those exchanges, guide each person through their part, and bring everyone together for the opening and closing.

What help is available with vows?

Bring a draft, a few thoughts, or a request for help getting started. We can help with a draft, write vows for your ceremony, or guide short promises for you to repeat. We’ll agree that support as part of your service and help the words work when you say them aloud.

Taking part

Can our ceremony use the names we use now?

Yes. We’ll use your current names and the relationship terms you choose. A renewal can recognize who you are and how you want to be introduced today.

Can chosen family take part?

Yes. Tell us who you want involved and what you’d like them to share. They can read, join a response, or speak words of support. We’ll connect their contribution to the ceremony and let them know when to begin.

What help is available for a Washington wedding?

We can discuss the ceremony, witnesses, license dates, and signing arrangements. Our Washington marriage-license page links to the issuing county and state information for those questions.

Can you provide witnesses?

Yes, subject to availability. You can request provided witnesses for your ceremony. We confirm how many will attend and the price for your date.

What if speaking in front of people feels difficult?

Tell us what would help. You can repeat short phrases after the officiant, make vows seated, or leave more time between words. We’ll work with you on a way to take part comfortably.

The service and arrangements

What does our officiant do on the day?

We’ll welcome your people, guide the readings, rituals, and vows, and bring the ceremony to a close. We’ll handle the introductions and cues so you can give your attention to each other.

What ceremony photography is available?

You can request a photographer to cover the ceremony for an agreed period. Photography is an optional extra. We confirm availability, coverage, and price for your date.

Where can our ceremony take place?

We travel to road-accessible locations throughout Kitsap County. Ferry journeys and places farther afield need individual review of travel, timing, and availability.

What is included in the ceremony price?

Each listing shows the officiant service, planned duration, included participants, and the cost of additional participants. Your quote identifies the writing support and extras included in your ceremony.

Can we arrange a handfasting cord or keepsake?

Yes. We offer white and beige handfasting cords, commemorative certificates in several designs, and classic or padded presentation holders.

How do the arrangements come together?

We’ll work through the ceremony, date, location, selected services, and price with you. Your confirmation records those details. Keep the private link from your booking email to view the booking or request changes.

How do personal stories fit the ceremony?

You decide which personal details you want spoken during the ceremony. A story can introduce the vows or become part of the welcome. We discuss those choices with you before using them in the writing.

Personal touches and ongoing help

Can a reading or a ring exchange be part of the ceremony?

Yes. We can connect a reading to the rest of the ceremony and let the reader know when to begin. A ring exchange can follow your vows or have short repeated words of its own. We’ll guide those parts for you.

Can you help with a change to an existing booking?

Yes. Use your private booking link or contact us in writing. One date change is available without a change fee with at least seven full days’ notice, subject to availability and a new date within 12 months. Shorter-notice changes are reviewed personally. The booking changes after we confirm it in writing. If you cancel, the 50% service reservation payment is non-refundable whichever payment option you chose. See Changes & cancellations for the full terms.

What happens if the weather makes our ceremony unsafe?

Please arrange an indoor or sheltered backup for an outdoor ceremony. Rain alone does not cancel a ceremony if we can use a safe, suitable location. If severe weather, a closure, or unsafe travel prevents the ceremony, we’ll discuss a safe location or another date without a change fee. If we cannot agree on an alternative within 12 months, we refund payments for services we have not provided, including the reservation payment. Goods already supplied remain separate.

Can a short ceremony still have personal vows?

Yes. We can keep the welcome and closing brief and help you keep the wording concise, leaving time to say and hear your vows.
